App Development

We build Android, iOS and cross-platform mobile apps from one codebase — including the backend, admin dashboard and store publishing, handled end to end.

App development at DOCXA covers the whole product, not just the screens. From one Flutter or React Native codebase you get both Android and iOS apps, the server and APIs behind them, an admin dashboard to run the business, and the store submission done with you. You talk to the engineers actually building it, and you own the entire codebase at the end.

What's included

  • Cross-platform app (Flutter or React Native) for Android and iOS from one codebase
  • Backend with APIs, database and authentication
  • Admin dashboard to manage users, content and orders
  • Push notifications and in-app analytics wired up
  • Google Play and App Store submission handled with you
  • Test builds throughout development so you try features as they land
A focused MVP typically ships in 6–10 weeks. Apps with heavy backend logic, payments or third-party integrations run 3–5 months, delivered in stages.
Who it's for

Built for app development buyers like you

Founders launching an MVP

Get a real app in users' hands on both platforms without hiring two native teams.

Businesses replacing manual processes

Field teams, deliveries, bookings and inspections work better as an app than as phone calls and spreadsheets.

Web products going mobile

If your web app earns its keep, a mobile app deepens daily usage and retention.

Teams stuck with an abandoned app

We audit the existing codebase, stabilize it, and continue development where the last team stopped.

Problems this solves

Two native teams quoted for Android and iOS when one cross-platform codebase would do

An app idea stalled because nobody could build the backend and admin side

Store rejections piling up over permissions, policies and crashes

An app shipped years ago that no one dares touch now

MVP budgets blown on features nobody asked for

No way to know what users actually do inside the app

Process

How the work actually runs

  1. 01

    Product scoping

We cut the idea down to the smallest app that proves the value — feature list, screens and a fixed quote.

  2. 02

    UX design

Screens designed mobile-first and clickable, so you feel the app before it's built.

  3. 03

    Sprint builds

Two-week cycles with test builds on your own phone from the first sprint onward.

  4. 04

    Backend & dashboard

APIs, database and the admin panel are built in parallel, not bolted on later.

  5. 05

    Store launch

We prepare listings, assets and privacy details, then manage submission through approval.

Timeline

A focused MVP typically ships in 6–10 weeks. Apps with heavy backend logic, payments or third-party integrations run 3–5 months, delivered in stages.

How pricing works

Fixed quote per milestone against a written feature list, so you always know what the next stage costs. Cross-platform keeps the price well under two native teams for the same coverage. Store fees, push infrastructure and third-party services are itemized transparently — no hidden platform markups.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Cross-platform or native — which should I choose?

For most business and consumer apps, Flutter or React Native gives indistinguishable performance at roughly half the cost of two native teams. Native wins when you need deep platform-specific features like heavy AR or background sensors. We recommend honestly after scoping — and we build native too when it's the right call.

Is the backend included or do I need another vendor?

Included. An app without its backend is a shell — we build the APIs, database, authentication and the admin dashboard your team uses to actually run the product.

Do you publish the app to the stores?

Yes. We prepare store listings, screenshots, privacy declarations and handle the submission process through approval on both Google Play and the App Store. Your developer accounts stay in your name.

How much does an app cost to maintain?

Plan for OS updates, store policy changes and small fixes — typically a modest monthly retainer. We'll give you a realistic number for your specific app before you commit to building it.

Can you take over an existing app?

Usually, yes. We start with a code audit — architecture, dependencies, crash data — then quote either a stabilization phase or continued feature work. If the codebase is unsalvageable, we'll say so before you spend anything on it.
