E-commerce Development

We build fast, custom online stores — on Next.js headless commerce or a tuned platform — with checkout, payments, inventory and shipping wired for how you actually sell.

E-commerce development at DOCXA means a store built around your catalog and your customers, not a theme stretched to fit them. We build headless storefronts on Next.js for speed and design freedom, or customize a platform when that's genuinely the better fit. Payments, inventory, shipping and analytics are integrated before launch, and the admin is simple enough that your team runs the store without a developer.

What's included

  • Custom storefront designed around your catalog and brand
  • Product, variant and inventory management with a simple admin
  • Cart and checkout tuned for mobile with UPI, cards and COD
  • Payment gateway integration (Razorpay, Cashfree, Stripe or your provider)
  • Shipping partner integration with rates and tracking
  • Order management dashboard for your team
A focused store typically launches in 4–8 weeks depending on catalog size and integrations. Migrations from an existing store add 1–2 weeks for data and redirects.
Who it's for

Built for e-commerce development buyers like you

Brands that have outgrown marketplace-only selling

Instagram and Amazon are channels; your own store is the asset that compounds.

Retailers with complex catalogs

Variants, bundles, bulk pricing and B2B rules that template stores handle badly.

Stores bleeding customers at checkout

Slow pages and clunky mobile checkout are where most revenue quietly dies.

Sellers locked into rising platform fees

When transaction fees and app subscriptions outgrow their value, owning the stack pays.

Sound familiar?

Problems this solves

A store that takes five seconds to load on a phone — right when a buyer is ready to pay

Platform fees and app subscriptions eating the margin on every order

A checkout that wasn't built for Indian buyers — UPI as an afterthought

Inventory managed in one place and sold in another, so you oversell

A catalog the theme simply can't represent

No honest analytics — you can't say what your marketing actually earns

How the work actually runs

  1. 01

    Catalog & flow mapping

Your products, pricing rules, shipping zones and payment mix documented before design starts.

  2. 02

    Storefront design

Key pages — home, category, product, cart, checkout — designed for your actual buyers.

  3. 03

    Build & integration

Storefront, payments, inventory and shipping wired together with test orders end to end.

  4. 04

    Migration & seeding

Products, customers and content imported; redirects set so old links keep ranking.

  5. 05

    Launch & optimize

Go live, watch the first real orders, then tune speed, checkout and funnels with data.

Timeline

A focused store typically launches in 4–8 weeks depending on catalog size and integrations. Migrations from an existing store add 1–2 weeks for data and redirects.

How pricing works

Fixed quote against catalog size, design scope and integrations. Platform costs (hosting, payment gateway fees, logistics) are shown to you at actuals — we don't mark up third-party services. The store is yours: no per-order platform tax on your growth.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Custom build or Shopify?

Shopify is a great fit when your catalog is standard and speed-to-market matters most. Custom headless wins when you need distinctive design, complex catalog rules, content-led SEO, or when subscription fees and app costs have started to bite. We build both and will recommend the honest fit for your stage.

Which payment gateways do you support?

Razorpay and Cashfree cover UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets for Indian sales; Stripe for international. COD is wired in as a proper checkout flow with order confirmation, not a bolt-on.

Can you migrate my existing store?

Yes — products, customers, order history and reviews. We map URLs and set 301 redirects so the rankings you've built survive the move. Migration is planned so the old store keeps selling until the new one is verified.

Will my store be fast on mobile?

Mobile speed is the core spec, not a nice-to-have: most Indian buyers shop on mid-range phones over spotty networks. Builds are held to Core Web Vitals targets and tested on real devices before launch.

Who handles new products and orders day to day?

Your team, through an admin built for non-technical users — products, stock, orders, refunds and shipping statuses in one place. We train you at handover and stay available under an optional support plan.
